Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

The County of Yolo is recruiting for one regular full-time position in the class of Deputy District Attorney IV at the Yolo County District Attorneys Office.

The Position
Consumer Fraud and Environmental Protection laws help to maintain public health and safety. The Consumer Fraud and Environmental Protection Unit manages a growing caseload and the civil litigation area can be very complex. The incumbent in this position will assist with prosecutions of individuals local businesses and/or corporations that break the law.

The current salary range for the Deputy District Attorney IV classification levels $146640 - $178256 annually; however a 6.44% equity increase and 2.0% COLA are anticipated:

  • Incumbents in these classifications are permitted to work remotely part of the time.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Experience: Four (4) years experience in the practice of law or three (3) years experience as an attorney with the County of Yolo.
Licensure:
Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Special Requirement: Attorneys assigned to special services legal work must have one (1) year of experience in general civil law or in the civil and criminal prosecution of consumer or environmental law.

Drivers License: Some positions in this classification may require incumbents to possess and maintain a valid California drivers license Class C or higher to carry out job related duties. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a physical or mental disability may request a reasonable accommodation.
