Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical behavioral and psychiatric support needs.

Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a dedicated HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating ventilating or air conditioning systems.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Independently performs the following duties:
- Performs installation of new HVAC equipment and preventive maintenance of cooling towers chillers air compressors condensers large motor and pumps for HVAC. Washes and replaces A/C filters. Overhauls and repairs pumps motors control systems piping and other equipment used in refrigerating and air conditioning systems. Maintaining this equipment ensures individuals have a safe and comfortable place to live and work which contributes to their overall wellbeing.

Troubleshoots air compressors and A/C package units including heat residential and A/C and heat units window units cold storage thermostats air controls and all other related equipment. Recharges air conditioning systems with proper amount of lubricant or refrigerant.
Troubleshoots on all HVAC chillers and condensers 20 tons or more. Repairs and maintains heating ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in buildings or complexes requiring total HVAC capacity of 20 tons or more. Repairs and installs copper and plastic lines above 1 ¼ inch chill water lines and drain lines up to 1 inch.
Assists other HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanics in keeping records and log sheets of various cold storage and chiller water equipment. Maintains records log sheets inventory etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Administrator to support the Agency and / or the people we serve.
Requires Universal Certification in Refrigerant to include Class 12 & 3.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type:This position may be filled by Detail Probation Promotion Demotion or Lateral Transfer. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.

Location:Position is located withPINECREST SUPPORTS & SERVICES CENTER LDH Electrical and Refrigeration

SHIFT:7:30 AM 4:00 PMPASS DAYS:Saturday / Sunday

Compensation:

HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanic:$21.05 - $37.88
