Job Summary

At St. Anns Academy we take pride in offering a tailored educational experience that caters to the individual needs of each student. Located in the beautiful city of Kamloops the school supports over 400 students between Kindergarten and Grade 12.
For the 2026 - 2027 school year we are seeking a dynamic skilled qualified candidate to join our team as a combined
Elementary / High School Principal. This position commences August 1st 2026 and concludes July 31st 2027 however continuation into a permanent position may be possible based on performance. The Principal has a critical role to play in supporting the mission vision and values in the life of this Catholic school community and works collaboratively with the Administrative team of the school under the direction of the Superintendent.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
- active membership in a Catholic parish
- a demonstrated commitment to and passion for excellence in Catholic education
- a minimum of 5 successful years prior teaching experience preferably within BC Catholic schools
- a valid TRB certification
- a strong understanding and application of CISKD and BC Ministry of Education priorities policies and procedures
- experience implementing innovative teaching methods in a classroom setting including remote learning experiences and the ability to support and supervise others
- strong communication skills
- model and assist in the supervision of teachers related to best practice in instructional planning assessment and evaluation
- demonstrated experience managing school budgets
- a commitment to ongoing professional development aligned with school Ministry and CISKD priorities
- the ability to adapt practice when faced with the ever-shifting needs of todays education system
- the commitment to provide leadership of extracurricular activities
- a Masters degree in related educational field of study or whom have commenced or are about to commence these studies
- BC Catholic School Leadership Course
- Foundations of the Faith Program
- Further evidence of lifelong learning
