Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries in patients utilizing medical equipment and procedures to provide high-quality care.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Diagnoses and treats patients with acute and chronic illnesses injuries and diseases.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to obtain information on patients conditions.
  • Prescribes medications and therapies to treat patients conditions.
  • Develops treatment plans and monitors patients progress.
  • Educates patients and their families about medical conditions treatments and preventive measures.
  • Maintains accurate and complete medical records for each patient.


Education Requirement:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable required.


Licensure Requirement:

  • Medical License in the State of Ohio required.
  • Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.


Certifications:

Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics required.


Experience:

Primary Care or Urgent Care experience preferred.

Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
