Position at Empire Packing

Essential Job Duties:

Print all POs due that day from the receiving schedule.
Responsible for ensuring the Lumpers are following our GMPs and Safety practices.
Responsible for ensuring the trailer seals are intact.
Reviewing BOLs for counts and weights then matching it to our POs and the product on the truck.
Assist drivers to up away received product.
Review paperwork for COAs if it is needed to receive that product.
Communicating to Leads and Supervisors when product is ready for production.
Reporting all loads on the receiving SSOP log.
Enter all product into the inventory system.
Lock out all trailers when they are unloaded.
Communicate to Managers when there is a product concern that is out of spec.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Ability to speak read and write English
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a production environment
The ability to attend work on time with few absences
Ability to make quick and decisive decisions; good judgment and common sense required
Attention to detail
Good math skills
Ability to follow instruction
Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others
Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
Must obtain a forklift and pallet jack certification
Computer experience preferred

Training and licenses

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Must obtain a forklift and pallet jack licenses
Must learn Kroger Mainframe

Physical Requirements:

Standing walking bending lifting stooping crouching kneeling intermittently.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
