Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist II will champion and drive key Human Resource initiatives and partner with leaders to provide an environment and culture which fosters inclusion growth and high performance. This position is responsible for the design and support of HR initiatives throughout the enterprise including the effective communication of HR programs such as training engagement and performance. Responsibilities and Tasks
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist II will have a passion for continuous improvement and provide both tactical and strategic support. Day-to-day activities will be concentrated in the
following areas:
Recruiting Support
  • Oversee the onboarding documentation facilitate new-hire assimilation process for local new hires.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and works cross-functionally between departments to ensure a smooth new-hire experience
  • Order recruiting events marketing material and swag
Employee Relations
  • Collaborate with leaders to create a positive and productive work culture.
  • Assist in coordination of activities throughout the organization to drive connection high levels of commitment and employee engagement.
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to track trends and advise leaders on necessary actions to improve retention.
  • Conducts off boarding process for employees.
  • Provide support to team members across the HR function; Answer and respond to HR Connection calls emails in a timely and efficient manner while providing great customer service to employees and their inquiries.
  • Support and resolve attendance issues policy questions and first-level coaching and resolve low-medium risk employee relation cases.
Employee Development
  • Work with various stakeholders to create and implement an effective employee onboarding process.
  • Develop and deliver approved training presentations as requested.
  • Support HR Business Partners during employee calibration and succession planning sessions as requested.
Payroll and Benefits Support
  • Answer employee questions regarding payroll and benefit matters invoking the assistance of appropriate team members when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment questions at time of hire and during annual open enrollment process.
  • As appropriate schedule on site wellness initiatives and provide oversight for the onsite medical clinic.
  • Conduct and assist with various routine audits (i.e. 401(k) Dayforce etc.) to affirm that data is accurate and up to date.
Other Activities
  • Develop professional relationships with leaders and employees in order to proactively be aware of issues and opportunities that effect employee satisfaction and empowerment.
  • Support engagement activities when appropriate for the site. Be a team member of local Activities Committee and recruit/maintain local engagement committee involvement.
  • Lead and participate in special projects as assigned such as document control policy creation file maintenance and budget management.
  • Process Purchase Orders for the departments expenses
Education Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • PHR / SPHR Certification a plus
  • 3 or more years of human resources generalist experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or call center environment is a plus
Skills and Abilities
  • Overall knowledge of all HR functional areas.
  • Awareness of HR law and regulations such as EEO FMLA ADA WC etc.
  • Ability to be highly flexible with weekly and daily assignments.
  • Possess personality trait of being a team-player in all situations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is very helpful.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Travel/Physical Requirements
  • May required 1-3 trips per year
  • Standard office with computer usage while sitting.
  • May require standing for periods of time while conducting an event or doing instruction.
  • May require the lifting and movement of assorted HR-related material (50 lbs.)
  • May require time or travel outside of the building.
