Job Description

The Curriculum & Assessment Coordinator is a full-time faculty role within the Department of Healthcare Leadership & Management (DHLM) within the MUSC College of Health Professions (CHP)

This position combines instructional quality structured assessment coordination and program-level academic infrastructure development across DHLMs degree and certificate portfolio.

The individual will lead curriculum alignment support faculty in assessment design coordinate accreditation-aligned documentation and integrate instructional technologies into DHLM course builds. This role is central to DHLMs ability to maintain academic quality consistency and prepare for accreditation review (e.g. CAHME CAHIIM SACS-COC and AUPHA).

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design & Course Build Support (35%)

Partner with Subject Matter Experts and Division Directors to design courses aligned to MUSC instructional templates

Ensure alignment between Program and Course Objectives Competencies and Assessments

Ensure competency-based education best practices are incorporated into course design

Support integration of AI-enhanced instructional tools and just-in-time learning modules etc.

Assessment Quality & Accreditation Documentation (35%)

Coordinate program-level assessment documentation and mapping

Maintain continuous improvement recordkeeping evidence artifacts and data tracking

Support CAHME CAHIIM and SACS-COC documentation as relevant

Standardize course rubrics signature assessments and mastery mapping

Accessibility and Quality Compliance (15%)

Ensure course builds meet Quality Matters and WCAG/W3C/ADA/504/508 standards

Audit modules for accessibility and consistency

Recommend improvements and corrective actions to faculty

Faculty and Cross-Team Collaboration (15%)

Provide faculty development and support around course design and assessment

Serve as the bridge between DHLM and CHP Instructional Design team

Coordinate requests for university-level technical support

Present improvements and status reports to DHLM leadership

Qualifications:

Required:

Masters degree in instructional design education healthcare administration or related field

Demonstrated success in curriculum design assessment alignment

Strong analytical communication and project management skills

Preferred:

Experience with competency-based education models

Knowledge of healthcare accreditation (CAHME CAHIIM SACS-COC and AUPHA)

Familiarity with Quality Matters and EdTech implementation
