Position Overview
GreenSky a leading financial technology company powering commerce at the point-of-sale through innovative lending solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Content Manager to drive strategic content initiatives while maintaining excellence in creative execution. This hybrid role combines strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on content creation managing a small team while actively contributing to content development across multiple channels and formats. Youll work at the intersection of business strategy and creative excellence scaling our content operations to support our expanding fintech ecosystem of Merchants Consumers and stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead content strategy aligned with business objectives and market priorities.
- Scale content operations and workflows to support growth without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on go-to-market content plans.
- Manage and mentor a small team setting clear roles and performance metrics.
- Create compelling content across web social video ads presentations and collateral.
- Ensure brand consistency and conduct research for accuracy and relevance.
- Streamline production with templates agile planning and repurposing strategies.
- Maintain quality standards through editing and adherence to style guides.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing product and sales teams.
- Track KPIs and analyze performance to optimize content strategy and ROI.
- Oversee multiple projects budgets and timelines using project management tools.
- Drive continuous improvement in content operations and workflows.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Experience & Background
- 5 years of progressive content creation copywriting or content marketing experience with at least 2 years managing or mentoring other content professionals
- Proven track record of writing diverse high-impact content across multiple formats and channels
- Demonstrated ability to scale content operations and maintain quality during growth
- Strong foundational experience in content strategy development editorial planning and multi-channel distribution
- Agency experience strongly preferred
Writing & Creative Skills
- Exceptional writing and creative abilities across multiple formats (social media video web paid media presentations event collateral)
- Ability to find inventive and effective ways to tell stories solve problems and capture attention
- Proven versatility with a portfolio showcasing diverse writing styles industries and channels
- Deep understanding of SEO/AEO/GEO best practices and digital marketing principles
- Strong editing and proofreading capabilities with mastery of AP and Chicago Manual of Style
Leadership & Management Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead motivate and develop content professionals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Excellent project management capabilities with experience managing complex multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Ability to build and optimize scalable content operations
Strategic & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to measure and optimize content performance
- Strategic thinking capabilities with focus on business impact and ROI
- Understanding of buyer journey mapping and content personalization strategies
- Data-driven decision-making approach with proficiency in marketing analytics and content metrics
Technical Proficiency
- Proficiency with content management systems project management tools (e.g. Asana ) and analytics platforms
- Familiarity with social media management tools content automation tools and emerging content technologies
- Comfortable with marketing automation platforms and basic CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in English Journalism Marketing Communications or related field; MBA a plus
- Fintech or financial services experience with understanding of lending payments or consumer finance
- Experience with financial services content compliance and regulatory considerations
- B2B and B2C content creation for complex product offerings
- Background with vendor management and content agencies
- Knowledge of AI-powered content tools and emerging content technologies
Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $90000 per year to $115000 per year. Compensation will be determined by several factors including relevant knowledge skills and experience. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus within a comprehensive total rewards package alongside a full suite of medical dental vision disability insurance life insurance 401k retirement benefits paid time off paid holidays and paid personal/sick time.
