Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Firmware Engineer to join our team focusing on Firmware development for Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) this role you will contribute to the development testing and maintenance of firmware for our cutting-edge Ethernet NIC solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design development and debugging of firmware for Ethernet NIC products.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and maintainability.
- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure firmware functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate firmware with other system components.
- Support the resolution of firmware-related issues during product development as well as internal and customer found issues.
- The position requires solid embedded design coding and troubleshooting skills.
- Development and debug will involve the use of software debuggers ICEs IDEs and protocol or logic analyzers.
- Contribute to documentation of firmware designs specifications and test plans.
- The position requires good written communication skills and the ability to verbally communicate additional details.
Education/Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of related experience or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience inembedded software development
- Excellent C programming skills
- Knowledge of Microprocessors system architecture and IO systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Great teamwork skills
Desired:
- Demonstrated experience in networking protocols (Ethernet TCP/IP)
- Understanding of network concepts protocols and equipment.
- Experience with Protocol Analyzers and In-Circuit Emulators
- Experience with ARM compilers probes and debug tools
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g. Jira)
- Familiarity with hardware-software interaction and low-level programming.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python).
- Experience interfacing with geographically dispersed teams
- Good overall design skills and thorough understanding of and integration with software development life cycle.
- Effective documentation skills

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is$73000 - $117000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
