POSITION SUMMARY:

The UX Design Lead will play a central role on New York City Tourisms Product Development team owning the end-to-end user experience across and other digital platforms. This position combines hands-on design work with strategic oversight ensuring that every interaction reflects both user needs and organizational goals. The UX Design Lead will champion data-informed user-centered design through research prototyping and testing -helping millions of visitors discover and engage with New York Citys culture neighborhoods and attractions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct comprehensive UX research using both internal analytics and external user feedback to identify opportunities for improving site usability accessibility and conversion performance. This role suits someone who is self-sufficient motivated and eager to take initiative with the creative freedom to shape meaningful user experiences.

• Show initiative in proposing design enhancements and process improvements collaborating across teams to turn insights into actionable product changes.

• Leverage the platform and other usability testing tools to gather actionable insights from key audience segments.

• Translate research findings into clear user-centered design recommendations that inform product decisions across cross-functional teams including development content strategy and digital marketing.

• Take ownership of the UX process from concept to delivery proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and driving solutions with minimal oversight.

• Develop wireframes user flows prototypes and high-fidelity mockups for new features enhancements and optimizations ensuring responsiveness across devices.

• Apply best practices in web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO-friendly design to support the organizations broader audience and performance objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of relevant experience with a responsive modern website application.

• Experience with

• Experience in planning preparing and executing UX design research.
