Responsibilities
- Plan develop and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and the schools curriculum
- Design hands-on experiments and activities that promote inquiry-based learning and student engagement
- Encourage curiosity and critical thinking through exploration of life earth and physical sciences
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying ability levels
- Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative tools and provide constructive feedback
- Integrate technology lab equipment and multimedia tools to enhance scientific understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support interdisciplinary and project-based learning initiatives
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory and classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students parents and staff to promote academic success and growth
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Science Education or a related field required
- Masters degree in Education or Science preferred
- Valid California Teaching Credential in Science (Single Subject) or Multiple Subject with science focus required
- Previous experience teaching science at the elementary or middle school level preferred
- Strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to inspire students through creativity enthusiasm and a hands-on approach to learning
- Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction
