Description

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell you will play a critical role in the design development and optimization of manufacturing processes for our accelerometer production line. This position requires a blend of engineering acumen project management and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements in manufacturing capabilities while ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.



Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process Development & Optimization:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency reduce cycle times and minimize costs in the production of accelerometers.
- Utilize principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to analyze and improve production line performance.
- Conduct tool and process capability studies to identify areas for improvement.

2. Project Management:
- Lead and coordinate projects related to process improvements new product introductions and equipment installations.
- Prepare project schedules budgets and resource allocations to ensure timely and successful execution.
- Monitor and report on project progress addressing issues as they arise and ensuring stakeholder alignment.

3. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team during production runs troubleshooting technical issues related to equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and modifications of existing products.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation including work instructions manufacturing process flowcharts and process control plans.

4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineering quality assurance supply chain and production teams to drive optimal solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability production readiness and cost analysis.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing team.



Qualifications

OU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as automation robotics and additive manufacturing.
  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Results-driven and proactive individual who is capable of working autonomously while maintaining a focus on achieving organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision effectively prioritizing tasks and managing time to achieve objectives.
