Job Summary

Big-D Construction has an opportunity for a Safety Engineer internship and we are looking for a student who is eager to learn grow and make an impact on our safety this role youll work closely with our safety and project teams to help ensure our job sites are safe compliant and efficient. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world construction safety experience while contributing to meaningful projects.

This internship is offered in our Idaho Falls ID office.

What Youll Do:

Assist the Safety Engineer and Site Superintendent with daily safety inspections and audits
Support the implementation and communication of safety policies and procedures
Participate in safety meetings toolbox talks and job hazard analyses
Help maintain safety documentation incident reports and compliance records
Observe and assist in hazard identification risk assessments and corrective actions
Learn how to foster a proactive safety culture across diverse teams and project types

What Were Looking For:

Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management Occupational Safety Engineering or a related field
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a genuine interest in safety and construction
Eager to learn take initiative and collaborate with others
Ability to work on-site in a dynamic fast-paced environment
