Responsibilities- Set up and run CNC machine (Makinos/Okumas) holding tight tolerances as low as /- .002.
- Ability to interact with computer-based controllers to enter or edit job offsets/programs.
- Operations performed include but are not limited to indicating of fixtures offsetting of fixtures milling drilling and grinding (of interior diameter) while maintaining specific tolerances and measurements.
- In addition to machining operator also air weighs and uses CNC etching machine to etch permanent serial number on discs following each machining cycle.
- Work must be completed within specific timeframes depending on production schedules.
- Processes also involve using reading and interpreting gages such as but not limited to hand gages hard gages CMMs and touch-off probes to complete and validate work.
- Understand and interpret complex blueprints specifications and operating instructions before and while running operations.
- Inspect parts ensuring product meets specified quality standards.
- Responsible to complete related quality documents/work instructions upon completion of tasks.
- Demonstrate safe work habits.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner using the standard work outlined for the area.
- As a team member demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- High School graduate or equivalent experience
- Due to Federal regulations candidate must be either a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident
- 3 years experience of setting up & operating CNC equipment
- In lieu of 3 years of set-up & operation experience an associates machining technology degree is acceptable.
- Computer skills that demonstrate the ability to use CNC interfaces to read run and edit computer-based machine job programs
- Math skills that demonstrate a basic understanding of arithmetic
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and measuring gages
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Possesses solid teaming and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and can follow written verbal standard work instructions
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to focus on quality while executing job tasks
The annual base pay for this position is$31.14/hour to start $31.64/hour after qualifying with a $0.75/hour differential for 2nd/3rd shift.Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
