In this role of New Energy Technology (NET) Engineering Co-op Student you will be researching and developing the engineering standards that will be critical to develop new solutions for a low carbon energy future.

Placement Details:

This is a 16 12 or 8-month co-op placement starting in May 2026 located in Edmonton or Calgary AB.

What you will do:

  • Researching the latest developments in new energy technologies for the pipeline industry.
  • Preparing reports and presentations on new energy technologies including Hydrogen and CO2 technologies.
  • Help to prepare training materials and training programs related to new energy technologies.
  • Help in the development of capital projects for new energy technologies.
  • Gain understanding on the challenges for the conversion of existing infrastructure to Hydrogen and other uses.
  • Develop and review engineering specifications for Hydrogen and CO2 facilities.

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering in the discipline of Mechanical Civil Chemical/Computer Process Control Electrical Industrial or Petroleum and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
  • Behaves consistently with integrity and respect
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Adapts well to changing environments and situations
  • Clear thinker and effective communicator both written and oral

Working Conditions:

  • Office based role located in either Calgary or Edmonton AB
  • Possible travel to other Enbridge office locations.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.

Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise who manages Enbridges Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
