Job Summary
Job Posting: Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location: OMC- Summit NJ 07901
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Length: 8 Weeks
Bill Rate: $55-65.00/hr
Shift & Schedule
- 3 days per week
- Shift: 7:00 PM 8:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 30-minute break
- Saturdays required
- Floating: Must be able to float to sister unit
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments maintaining sterile fields and anticipating needs.
- Handle and care for surgical equipment tools and supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist in room turnover and equipment restocking between cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons RNs anesthesia staff and other team members to ensure safe and efficient surgical care.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience - Required
- Experience in multiple surgical specialties - Preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR safety standards
- Must be able to float as needed
