Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Overview

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is a dynamic high-acuity environment where registered nurses play a pivotal role in delivering advanced cardiovascular care. Working alongside experienced interventional cardiologists Cath Lab RNs assist with complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing state-of-the-art imaging and technology. As part of Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care this team provides exceptional care to patients with intricate cardiac conditions. Nurses in this unit are integral members of a highly skilled collaborative team committed to innovation precision and excellence in patient outcomes. Their responsibilities include circulating scrubbing and monitoring during procedures; taking call; documenting within the electronic medical record; and providing comprehensive education to support patient recovery.

Experience Required

  • 2 years of critical care RN experience in an inpatient setting is preferred - 1-year minimum required.

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.

License/Certification Requirements

  • Current NJ-RN License
  • Current -BLSCertification (American Heart Association)
  • Current NJ - ACLS(American Heart Association)

Special Requirements

  • 7A-530P M-F
  • On-call rotation
