POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining equipment associated with the production and distribution of products through preventative predictive and corrective maintenance. This position supports the safe and efficient operation of the facility by overseeing maintenance activities and providing technical guidance to other locations on equipment and process improvements.
Schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. Potential for on-call schedule. Schedules are subject to change with business needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps valves piping motors tanks and transfer systems.
- Inspect and maintain bulk storage tanks loading areas and facility infrastructure.
- Conduct minor mechanical electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Support installation or modification of equipment and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.
- Perform light maintenance on company truck and truck-mounted tanks as needed.
- Maintain tools shop and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program to optimize equipment reliability.
- Complete maintenance logs and inspection records accurately.
- Follow all company OSHA and environmental safety policies.
- Assist with general facility upkeep such as lighting dock doors grounds and building systems.
- Off site assistance up to but not limited to providing technical input and recommendations for other USL facilities for projects upgrades and process improvements.
- Assist with evaluating equipment needs safety considerations and implementing maintenance best practices at other sites.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degree or Equivalent.
Completed a mechanical industrial or maintenance-related apprenticeship program or an Associates Degree (or higher) in a technical field with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience OR equivalent military training.
Demonstrated understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
Ability to perform basic mechanical electrical and plumbing repairs safely and effectively.
Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; able to coordinate with other sites and contractors.
Able to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally push pull or roll objects up to 350 lbs.
Able to tolerate at times the smell of gas and paint
Valid drivers license and ability to meet company driver policy requirements
