Job Summary
Permanent Part-Time Role
Located in the heart of the Claremont community Aegis Alfred Carson provides quality care and services for up to 90 residents in a modern and homely living environment. Alfred Carson utilize state-of-the-art equipment providing Residents with quality care and easier working conditions for our staff.
As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.
A working day will involve:
- Preparing residents meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:
- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable punctual and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should possess the following:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
