Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a creative and driven licensed Project Architect for our Asheville NC office. This position affords a client-focused leadership opportunity with a growing team of multi-disciplinary professionals working on a diverse array of projects as well as an excellent opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate is experienced highly motivated detail oriented and exhibits a commitment to design excellence as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead project development design and production throughout all phases of the project
Facilitate client consultant & contractor coordination and regulatory approval processes
Development delegation and quality and budget control of all architectural deliverables
Business development proposal & contracts negotiations and fee generation
Integrated Revit modeling and related project document development including plans elevations sections details schedules code analyses and specifications
Ensure project quality and consistency for profitability and client retention
Attend meetings with clients consultants & contractors and make regular project visits
Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project team across multiple offices
Cultivate and manage new business relationships to support growth in Western NC
Represent Summit at industry events conferences and professional society meetings

Qualifications:

Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Licensed Architect in North Carolina (required)
5-8 years of relevant professional experience
Displayed experience independently managing and producing architectural projects
Displayed experience in design detailing building systems codes and construction techniques
Displayed experience managing clients consultants and project budgets
Displayed experience with architectural practice and project delivery
High proficiency in Revit AutoCAD Adobe CS and MS-office
Strong creative problem-solving and technical skills
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as well as within a virtual setting.
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel as required.
