RN LPN Respite (PRN Flexible Hours)

The role of aRespite Nurseis to offer one-on-one time between a child and licensed nurse within the familys home or community. Respite care is designed to give families a break from the day-to-day care involved in raising a child with special healthcare needs. ChildServesrespite service allows parents to attend events for their other children schedule appointments for themselves or simply take time to recharge.

Schedule

• Primarily afternoons evenings and weekends. Can be regularly scheduled or as needed.
• Located in Ames Nevada or Slater

How Youll Make an Impact

• Provide one-on-one nursing support in the home or community
• Interact with the child and participate in fun activities
• Complete electronic documentation and paper MARS
• Possible skills used:medication administration g-tube nutrition seizure management trach cares etc.

What Youll Need

• Current valid license as a RN or LPN in Iowa.
• Valid drivers license with two or fewer violations in the past three years
• Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the clinic areas and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
• Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading writing and speaking the English language.
