Compensation:In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
About the Program:The Family Based Services program is an intensive team approach to community based services engaging individuals with complex needs aimed to support the client in remaining in the least restrictive living environment restore adaptive functioning in the home and strengthen the use of coping strategies and support system. This program targets families with DCFS involvement and/or youth on formal probation.
Role Summary:We are currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Services Provider to deliver comprehensive mental health services ensuring exceptional client care. You will provide individual rehabilitation crisis intervention collateral and case consultation services to children/youth and their families who are involved with LA County Department of Mental Health Department of Children and Family Services and Probation Department.
- Schedule:Monday-Friday 10:00am- 7:00pm with a flex Friday off 10:00am-6:00pm
Location:155 N Occidental Blvd Los Angeles CA 90026
(Flexible with various locations providing services in Spa 4 & 6)
This Child and Family Specialistposition will provide services to community based clients for our Wraparound Approach Wraparound program is an intensive team approach to community based services engaging individuals with complex needs aimed to support the client in remaining in the least restrictive living environment restore adaptive functioning in the home and strengthen the use of coping strategies and support system. This program targets families with DCFS involvement and/or youth on formal probation.
Clinical Supervision is provided with ability to earn all clinical hours towards licensure
This position does qualify towards Public Student Loan Forgiveness as a non-profit organization
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual rehabilitation behavior modification case management and teaching and demonstrating activities.
- Conduct visits to homes schools and or other service providers in order to help client achieve their service plan goals
- Provide oversight of clients from program admission in collaboration with the parents; develop individualized service plans based on assessment reports provided.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive Matrices ensuring strategies interventions and services are family-centered flexible and community-based.
- Interface and collaborate with Department of Children and Family Services Department of Probation Department of Mental Health court systems law enforcement schools health care providers and other community liaisons.
- Document client services in accordance with Department of Mental Health standards and Department of Children and Family Services.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in social work Psychology or Counseling is required
- Active registration or licensure with California BBS is required
- Experience in In-Home Services or work with highrisk children adolescents and their families required
- Strong clinical skills in individual family play and group therapy are required
- Good oral written and organizational skills are required
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License and a driving record acceptable to the agencys insurance carrier.
- Bilingual and bicultural skills in Spanish preferred
- Previous Wraparound Approach Services Program experience preferred
