RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring an HCA for a Nursing home in Co Wicklow Ireland.
Responsibilities
Support nursing staff and the care team in delivering high-quality person-centred care that meets all resident needs.
Build positive relationships with residents by understanding their interests and providing attention support and companionship.
Promote and assist with resident mobility supervising as needed to maintain or improve their level of independence.
Assist residents with personal hygiene and appearance ensuring their dignity is always respected.
Communicate any changes or concerns regarding a residents condition or daily life to the nursing team.
Support residents with eating drinking and achieving physical comfort.
Participate in organise and facilitate social and recreational activities.
Maintain strong communication with residents families and help foster positive relationships.
Assist in upholding high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
Contribute to maintaining a safe environment and adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Nurse in Charge or management
Requirements
Healthcare support knowledge (FETAC/QQI Level 5 or equivalent)
Understanding of HIQA standards
Strong communication and listening abilities
Professionalism and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and outlook
Fluent written and spoken English
