Assumes responsibility for record keeping and intra-departmental and Inter-departmental communications.
Overview
The Mother Infant Unit consists of 24 beds (between the 3rdand 5thfloor of the Dorrance Building). This unit specializes in the care of the post-partum couplet. The care includes frequent assessments for post-partum complications of the mother and newborn including but not limited to preeclampsia post-partum hemorrhage and infant hypoglycemia. This unit specializes in offering emotional support to the new dyad while also providing extensive teaching and crucial education prior to discharge.
Experience Required
- Previous hospital unit secretary medical office assistant or medical records experience preferred.
- Additional unit-specific qualification may be required.
- Clerical communication and customer service experience a plus.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Unit Secretary certification is desirable.
Special Requirements
Part time days 24 hours a week
Hours: 7a-7:30p & Weekend/holidays with rotation
