Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (Korean-Speaking)
Location: Flushing NY 11355
Duration: 6 Month Contract (with Possible Extension)
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a bilingual (Korean-speaking) Certified Medical Assistant to join a dynamic outpatient healthcare team in Flushing NY. The ideal candidate will support physicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring seamless communication for Korean-speaking patients. This role requires strong clinical administrative and interpersonal skills to ensure a smooth and efficient clinic workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient intake procedures including vital signs height weight and health history documentation.
Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during medical procedures and exams.
Collect label and process lab specimens according to established clinical protocols.
Maintain and update patient data accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Epic or Athena).
Ensure exam rooms are clean organized and adequately stocked with medical supplies.
Provide translation and communication assistance for Korean-speaking patients as needed.
Support administrative duties such as scheduling follow-ups and patient correspondence.
Adhere to all patient confidentiality infection control and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Fluency in Korean (required).
Experience with Epic or Athena EMR systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA).
Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
Prior experience in primary care or family medicine.
