Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing Inc. seeks qualified Physical Therapists to join the Durham Public Schools team. The PT will provide school-based services supporting students mobility access and participation in educational settings. The role emphasizes collaborative student-centered practice under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Qualifications:
- Education: Doctorate or Masters in Physical Therapy
- Licensure:
- Active North Carolina license from the NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (NCBPTE).
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
- Experience:Working with children or in educational environments preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Mobility and functional capacity assessment
- Adaptive equipment consultation
- Soft Skills: Interdisciplinary collaboration family communication inclusive practice
- Additional Requirements:
- Completion of NC DCDEE background check if serving preschool populations.
- Required participation in Durham Public Schools onboarding and training sessions.
- Must pass all background screening requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations per IDEA and DPS policies.
- Deliver direct therapy and consultation for students with mobility or access challenges.
- Participate in IEP development implementation and progress monitoring.
- Provide expertise on adaptive equipment positioning and accessibility.
- Maintain complete and timely documentation in DPS-approved systems.
- Collaborate with teachers families and other service providers to promote inclusion.
