The Role
We are recruiting for a General Superintendent for a project in Red Deer AB. The General Superintendent is a key member of the project leadership team responsible for the overall field execution coordination and supervision of multiple construction projects or large-scale work scopes. This role provides direction to site Superintendents and General Foremen ensuring that all work is performed safely on schedule and to quality standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple construction sites or large project scopes from mobilization to turnover.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all field operations comply with company and client safety requirements.
- Provide leadership mentorship and performance management to site Superintendents Foremen and field teams.
- Coordinate construction activities with project management engineering quality and procurement teams.
- Monitor progress manpower and productivity to ensure schedule and budget compliance.
- Participate in constructability reviews planning and project execution strategy.
- Review and approve field progress reports look-aheads and work plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to company best practices in construction execution.
Skills/Education/Qualifications
- 15 years of progressive construction experience including 5 years in a senior site leadership role (General or Senior Superintendent level).
- Proven background in industrial mechanical structural or civil construction (oil & gas mining or heavy industrial sectors preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies scheduling cost control and quality management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage large field teams and multiple work fronts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team-focused approach.
- Ability to interpret drawings specifications and project documents with high accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software; experience with Google Suite considered an asset.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
