Social Media Intern (Co-Op)

The Integrated Communications & Content Team at Mimecast is seeking aSocial MediaInternto help drive a robust brand communications strategy. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation media strategy and cross-functional collaboration with a special focus on cybersecurity trends and brand engagement.This Co-op will be from January 2026-June 2026.

What Youll Do:

• Contribute to all aspects of social media content creation including writing editing proofreading and posting

• Develop and contribute fresh creative ideas on a variety of internal and external projects

• Vet social media requests from other Mimecast teams and execute on topics we choose to move forward on

• Support Mimecasts earned media program with research pitch ideation and tactical execution on opportunities

• Review written content and provide feedback and suggestions

• Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and develop creative ways for Mimecast to join relevant conversations

• Attend meetings with external communications agencies and support the team with accurate administrative work and support

• Work cross functionally with other Mimecast teams to support key global initiatives. Teams include but are not limited to: partner field campaigns analyst relations global events content revenue ops business development and product marketing

What Youll Bring:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Communications Marketing or a related field.

• Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in content creation.

• Creative thinker with a knack for identifying emerging trends and developing engaging ideas.

• Proactive organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
