Supply Chain Engineer (NPINPD)
Job Summary
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
DesigntoCost & Manufacturability
Partner with Engineering and suppliers to align part designs with supplier manufacturing capabilities.
Support shouldcost modeling and detailed cost breakdown analysis for mechanical components.
Lead and support DFM/DFX activities PFMEA GD&T interpretation and process validation to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency.NPI / NPD Project Management
Drive supply chain readiness throughout assigned NPI/NPD project phases.
Maintain build readiness dashboards identify risks and drive mitigation plans.
Coordinate supplier material tooling process and manufacturing readiness to meet project milestonesCrossFunctional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering Commodity Managers and internal stakeholders to integrate technical insights into sourcing decisions.
Communicate supplier feedback and manufacturability insights to design teams for continuous design improvement.
Align suppliers with longterm business cost and technology strategies in collaboration with Commodity Management.Supplier & Process Optimization
Collaborate with suppliers to develop costeffective and manufacturable solutions for mechanical components such as machined cast sheet metal and plastic parts.
Conduct supplier technical reviews and capability assessments.
Identify evaluate and develop new suppliers to support innovation and cost objectives.Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives with suppliers.
Identify and standardize best practices across mechanical commodity suppliers.
Perform indepth cost analysis and identify costreduction opportunities.
Stay current on manufacturing technologies industry benchmarks and market cost trends.
Who You Are:
You are a proactive and detail-oriented supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced global environment. You excel at coordinating across teams analyzing data to drive decisions and ensuring supply chain readiness for new product launches. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing process engineering or NPI/NPD engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of machining casting injection molding stamping and assembly processes.
Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFX PFMEA GD&T process validation and part cost modeling.
Proven ability to lead or support NPI/NPD projects and work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Supply chain sourcing or supplier management experience is an advantage.
Strong communication collaboration and problemsolving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. - Regular collaboration with global internal teams and external suppliers across different time zones.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (approximately 2030%).
- Ability to work independently in a fastpaced global environment
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Prior experience supporting NPI/NPD projects in a manufacturing or engineering setup.
Knowledge of supplier development sourcing analytics and cost modeling.
Familiarity with project management tools and supply chain performance metrics.
Strong business acumen and ability to identify cost reduction or process improvement opportunities
