ResponsibilitiesAs a Lead Field Service Fire Technician here at Honeywell you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a team of field service technicians providing technical guidance and support. Your expertise and leadership will drive the success of our field service operations ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our customers.
You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and youll work out of our San Antonio TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role you will impact the overall performance and customer satisfaction of our fire protection services ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and perform installation programming inspection testing and maintenance of fire alarm suppression and life safety systems.
- Mentor train and oversee junior technicians to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure all systems are compliant with NFPA codes state regulations and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Serve as the lead contact for customers on service jobs providing technical expertise and recommendations.
- Prepare and review service reports ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with project managers contractors and customers to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Support continued improvement by providing feedback on system performance and customer needs.
- Maintain NICET certification and participate in ongoing training.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in field service engineering with a focus on complex technical solutions.
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in fire protection systems and relevant technologies.
- Experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to fire safety systems.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations pertaining to fire safety and protection.
- NICET Level I or II Certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.
