QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be empathetic and responsible able to use time effectively be able to accept supervision relate well to patients and understand and accept the hospice philosophy.
- Current South Carolina Nurse Aide Certification.
- Demonstrate competency in skills needed to perform job duties.
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Ability to embrace the mission and culture of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist patients with baths care of mouth skin and hair.
- Assist patients with elimination functions.
- Help patients in and out of bed; assisting with ambulation.
- Perform such incidental household services as are essential to patient health care.
- Report any changes or concerns regarding patients conditions and/or family situations to the registered nurse.
- Maintain effective working relations with patients families and members of hospice interdisciplinary team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Document all aspects of care provided according to the policies established for the Hospice/HomeCare program and the individual patients care plan.
- Participate in organization sponsored events
