DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced engineer to join Ford Racing (FR) to support the Mustang GTD in production at Multimatic Niche Vehicles. This position reports directly to Ford Racing and is based in Newmarket Ontario.
As the PVT Engineer- Ford Racing for the Mustang GTD you will be the Ford single point of contact at Multimatic Niche Vehicles.

- Ford Racing is a small team of dedicated engineers who turn mainstream Ford vehicles into extraordinary performance machines.
- The Mustang GTD is the flagship of the Ford Blue Oval.
ResponsibilitiesThis primary responsibilities fir this position include but not limited to :
- Lead a cross-functional team to manage OPD manufacturing and quality improvement actions.
- Support daily warranty claims binning call dealership technicians as required lead warranty part return activity.
- Lead warranty claims analysis.
- Lead weekly quality reviews with Multimatic and support monthly quality reviews.
- Assist in troubleshooting of vehicles that fail in-plant testing.
- Review and drive closure of Fresh Eyes (Campaign Prevent) issues.
- Act as the liaison between Multimatic and Ford to resolve supplier quality issues for Ford-led components.
- Work with FRAP DEP and TDM to align on supply chain logistics for supplied components.
- Work with Marketing and Multimatic to align on vehicle scheduling and delivery metrics.
- Support Change Control activities and support trials for functional change verification.
- Lead launch of 25MY J2 26MY J1 and Added Starters (Export Programs).
- Leverage external customer data to adjust quality acceptance criteria as needed.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
Experience:
- 3-5 years combined experience in Program Management VO/Launch PVT Quality.
- Tier 2 Driver Certification (training is available if not already Tier 2).
Preferred Requirements:
- Masters degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- 5 years combined experience in Program Management VO/Launch PVT Quality.
- Product quality process metrics and improvement experience.
- AIMS / Jira / WERS / CMMS / Supplier PPAP process experience.
- Demonstrated 6-Sigma project experience.
- Adept at speaking and working with Plant Line Operators through Area Managers.
- Understanding or willingness to learn fundamentals of Chassis Body Powertrain and Electrical systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
