Maintenance Technician (Handyman)
Were seeking a field-based Maintenance Technician (Handyman) to support our offices across multiple locations. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring our facilities are safe clean and operating efficiently. Youll handle a variety of repair and maintenance tasks from fixing minor plumbing issues to touching up paint keeping every Diamond Braces location in excellent condition.
Essential Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across multiple Diamond Braces offices (basic electrical plumbing carpentry painting etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
- Assemble install or relocate furniture fixtures and small equipment
- Coordinate and oversee outside vendors or contractors for specialized repairs
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities materials used and completed work
- Ensure all work complies with safety building and health regulations
- Travel daily to various Diamond Braces locations as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in general maintenance handyman work or facilities support
- Strong working knowledge of building systems including plumbing electrical and carpentry
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to travel between multiple locations within the region
- Dependable detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Background in healthcare dental or multi-site facilities maintenance preferred
- Basic HVAC or appliance repair knowledge a plus
- Experience with work order tracking or maintenance scheduling systems
- Must be proficient in English (Spanish & Russian a plus).
- Proficient in standard office software & applications.
- Strong computer and digital literacy skills.
- Strong communication skills a must.
