As the Project Quality Engineer you support the Project Quality Manager in planning and implementing Quality Assurance activities within major oil & gas and engineering projects. When the Project Quality Manager is not assigned you coordinate the entire project quality activities implementation ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.
Location: Project-based (International assignments)
Experience Level: Mid to Senior (5-12 years)
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Quality Manager in defining and implementing the Project Quality Management System (PQMS)
- Plan and implement Quality Assurance activities across the project
- Conduct external audits to Vendors and Subcontractors Quality Management Systems
- Plan and supervise quality audits across all project processes
- Review contracts and identify quality requirements during tender and execution phases
- Ensure quality requirements are incorporated into vendor and subcontractor contracts
- Manage non-conformities and promote corrective/preventive actions
- Lead quality investigations to eliminate potential non-conformities
- Manage Cost of Non-Quality process
- Conduct Quality Training activities and ensure awareness of quality requirements within project teams
- Collect and analyze project quality data to organize Project Quality Management Reviews
- Manage lessons learned process through company tools (Reflex)
- Implement customer satisfaction processes
- Report project quality data to Companys Quality Manager using corporate methodologies
Qualifications :
Education & Certification:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
Experience:
- 5-12 years in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance roles
- Experience in oil & gas construction or engineering project environments
- Proven background in quality audits and QMS implementation
- Contract review and quality requirements evaluation experience
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Understanding of industry standards (ASTM ASME AWS API etc.)
- Experience with Quality Control Plans and project quality procedures
- Familiarity with quality improvement tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in quality management software and reporting tools
Core Competencies:
- Project quality coordination and activity monitoring
- Quality audit planning and execution
- Process analysis and procedure development
- Continual improvement methodologies
- Contract requirements review and analysis
- Training delivery and facilitation
