Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety quality production inventory and cost improvements. Collaborate and clearly communicate with peers in other departments and work independently while identifying key details.

ASSEMBLER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble mechanical parts pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.
Safety Requirements
o Wear safety glasses cut level 3 gloves and steel toes shoes.
o Hard hats may be required for specific processes.
o Ear plugs required in high decibel areas. (Hearing Test required)
o Electrical gloves and certification as needed for the task.
o Workers are required to pay attention to surroundings at all times as assembly line tools and machinery can potentially inflict serious injury as the result of negligence or breakdown.
o Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
o Regular participation in safety audits.

Physical demands and abilities
o Lifting is generally at or below 30lbs. without significant repetitions.
o Regularly perform repetitive tasks
o Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
o Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
o Standing for extended periods of time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
o High School Diploma or GED Diploma
o Mechanical aptitude and background in mechanics or mechanical assembly
o Positive Attitude

o Basic understanding of the metric system.

Essential duties and responsibilities
o Safety First!
o Read interpret and follow basic blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bills of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
o Utilize manual and power handheld tools of various types.
o Maintain inventory of product at work cells.
o Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
o Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
o Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
o Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
o Keeps equipment operational by completing preflight check lists preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
o Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
o Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
o Document actions by completing various production and quality forms.
o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
o Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
o Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
