POSITION:High School English Teacher gr. 9 - 12

LOCATION:Arlington High School

POSITION GOAL:To provideEnglish instruction according to the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards. This is a position that will begin in November 2025 andlast for approximately three weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

(Preferred) Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as aEnglish Teacher at theHigh School level
Degrees inEnglish and Education preferred
Experience working with students at theHigh School Level.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach five sections ofEnglish (Grade 9 English and AP Language and Composition)
Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction grading communication to parents and families
Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director ofEnglish or Building Administrator.
