POSITION:High School English Teacher gr. 9 - 12
LOCATION:Arlington High School
POSITION GOAL:To provideEnglish instruction according to the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards. This is a position that will begin in November 2025 andlast for approximately three weeks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- (Preferred) Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as aEnglish Teacher at theHigh School level
- Degrees inEnglish and Education preferred
- Experience working with students at theHigh School Level.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach five sections ofEnglish (Grade 9 English and AP Language and Composition)
- Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction grading communication to parents and families
- Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director ofEnglish or Building Administrator.

EMPLOYMENT: Long Term Substitute Position
REPORTS TO: K-12English Director (primary) and BuildingAdministrators
