Job Summary
Description
The role of aGroup Respite Nurseis to provide nursing care to a small group of children during their shift in collaboration with direct care professionals. Group services support children with varying needs and abilities over the weekend. ChildServesRespite service allows parents to attend events for their other children schedule appointments for themselves or take time to recharge.
Schedule
- PRN
- 1-2 weekends per month
- Day evening and overnight shifts available
How Youll Make an Impact
- Provide nursing support rehabilitative needs and preventative care in a ratio of 1:3 at the ChildServeCenter
- Interact with the child and participate in fun activities.
- Complete electronic documentation and MARS
- Possible skills used:medication administration g-tube nutrition seizure management urinary cath respiratory support etc.
What Youll Need
- Current valid license as a RN or LPN in Iowa.
- Valid drivers license with two or fewer violations in the past three years
- Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the clinic areas and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
- Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading writing and speaking the English language.
