Job Summary

As a Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse led appointments and will be required to support the Vet with procedures as required ensuring we deliver exceptional care always there to our clients patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

Were looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Wexham.

Our practice offers a small welcoming environment with a loyal client base and a friendly down-to-earth atmosphere. As an RVN youll play an essential role in supporting the clinical team delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Located on the edge of Slough and just a short drive from Windsor the practice is well connected offering easy access to London and the M25.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract ideally starting as soon as possible. The role is full-time over 4 days per week. Youll also be part of a 1 in 6 weekend rota at our Medivet Watford 24-hour hospital.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at care for our patients our clients and for each other we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.

  • Support with surgeries and procedures completing all pre and post procedure activity.

  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.

  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.

  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.

  • If relevant:Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.

  • Dispense and check medication.

  • Deliver professional excellencecomplying withall regulatory practice and operational standards.

  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered of delivering exceptional patient and client care.

  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.

  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults with an understanding of how this contributes topracticeperformance and efficiency.

  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
