- Bachelors or Masters degree inComputer ScienceEngineering or a related technical field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Experience in Telecommunications an asset.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience withGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP); familiarity withon-premises infrastructure.
- Data Engineering: Experience building and managing data pipelines usingSparkKafka andDataproc.
- Big Data Ecosystem: Proficient in tools such asHadoopHiveHueOozieSqoopand Trino.
- Databases: Strong SQL skills; experience withMySQLOraclePostgreSQLBigQuery.
- Programming Languages: Skilled inScalaPythonJavaScriptand Java.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Exposure toKubernetes for deploying and managing scalable applications.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Strong understanding ofGit workflows including branching and merge strategies; experience withGitLab Runner for build and deployment automation.
Impact Youll Make:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Data Engineer with hands-on expertise across cloud platforms (GCP) and on-premises infrastructure Big Data technologies SQL and BI technologies. You will work with a cross-functional team further developing and maintaining projects on behalf of external clients and also on our internal analytics and data platform.
Project & Delivery Responsibilities
- Contribute to project execution and delivery of cloud-native and data-intensive applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project outcomes.
- Understanding ofAgile/Scrum methodologies and ability to work within those frameworks.
- Support adherence toDevOps andcloud governance practices.
- Demonstrate effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills across teams.
Additional Skills
- Experience withELK Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana) andMicroStrategy for data visualization and analytics.
- MLOps: Experience managing the lifecycle of machine learning models including training testing versioning and deployment.
