2025 Administrative Analyst Internship

$17.50/hour

Up to 6 months; 16-24 hours per week

About the Program: Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District has a great opportunity for a committed team oriented and highly motivated individual working on their bachelors or masters degree to join the District as an Administrative Analyst Intern. District employees are encouraged to apply. The duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Analyst Intern are designed to further prepare the incumbent for a successful career in local government or recreation. This is a part-time paid position. If you are interested in a rewarding and challenging public service career this is an excellent opportunity.

Position Summary The selected candidate will perform a variety of developmental-level professional administrative work research and analysis in support of the Administration and/or Recreation Departments. The work performed by the Administrative Intern will be highly visible and have a direct impact on the organization. Typical assignments and projects will involve public sector finance data analysis and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements: College students actively working towards a degree in a related field.

About Us: Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is a separate government agency from the City of Simi Valley formed as a Special District in 1961 for the specific purpose of providing parks and recreation activities to the communities of Simi Valley and Oak Park. Since that time the Park District has established 50 parks and preserved over 5600 acres of open space that allows for hiking biking horseback riding and wildlife preservation. Additionally decades of Simi Valley history has been preserved at the Strathearn Historical Park and Museum where docent lead tours are available and at the Santa Susana Train Depot where railroad enthusiasts can tour a depot built in 1903 with historic exhibits and miniature train displays. The Park District has an equestrian center swimming pool two golf courses two dog parks three community centers numerous ball fields picnic pavilions and other recreation addition to the many facilities available for public enjoyment and reservation the Park District also offers hundreds of diverse recreation programs and large community events such as concerts seasonal fairs and outdoor movies.
