OVERVIEW/DUTIES/DESCRIPTION

• Perform Avionics work on former military fighter aircraft equipped with 3rd and 4thgeneration Avionics technology e.g. 1553 MUX systems VHF/UHF advanced RADARsystems multiple offensive/defensive systems as well as civilian aviation platforms suchas Garmin Avidyne etc.

• Accurately interpret maintenance manuals service bulletins wiring diagrams system.

• Schematics drawings engineering orders and other documents from both themanufacturers and company.

• Maintain storage management systems as well as captive carry training weapons andweapons release systems.

• Integrate/modernize new technologies into legacy EFIS ECM PodsEO sensors etc.

• Complete other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GEDrequired

• Must speak read write and understand English

• Some travel

• Must be able towork flexible shift

• Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives aircraft/vehicle movement flight line operations aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications (read interpret follow and comprehend schematics diagrams drawings and technical orders)

• Obtain/maintain security clearance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Extensive sitting to climbing standing stooping bending pushing kneeling stretching and walking demands.
• Special vision abilities required are close vision peripheral vision color vision depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
• Must be able to climb stairs ramps ladders and work stands.
• Must be able to crouch crawl grasp or handle objects use finger dexterity bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
• Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depths.
• May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
• May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts vehicles or aircraft.
