As a privately held company we retain our position in the market with strategically placed manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

Job Summary

With general guidance from the Production & Plant Manager the Production Supervisor will effectively lead production teams to ensure safety quality & productivity are maintained at the highest levels while serving as a role model in the areas of leadership teamwork continuous improvement and safety. The incumbent will employ lean manufacturing methodologies to maximize production through-put and minimize cost.

Essential Functions

• Achieves results by establishing priorities communicating job expectations planning monitoring appraising job results coaching counseling disciplining employees initiating coordinating and enforcing systems policies or procedures.
• Maintains quality of staff by hiring training developing and mentoring employees to ensure maximum performance.
• Provides creative leadership and direction to employees to improve operating efficiencies and equipment performance and ensure safety quality and productivity.
• Manages workflow by monitoring steps of the process setting process variables observing control points and equipment monitoring personnel and developing reporting procedures.
• Implement existing production standards and make adjustments as necessary to produce products within specifications.
• Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work and internal or external audits.
• Read and analyze charts work orders production schedules and other reports to determine production requirements.
• Complete administration duties that include time and attendance system holiday/vacation planning production reports and safety violations/concerns.

Job Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Working Knowledge of lean process preferred.
• English required bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Communication skills (verbal & written).
• Strong time management skills deadline and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
• Positive attitude and action oriented.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED required.
• BS or Associates degree in manufacturing operations management preferred.
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing leadership role preferred.
