Lead clinical and operational excellence across the Alternative Birthing Center (ABC) Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and Standby Perinatal Unit (SPU) at Plumas District Hospital. Champion the midwifery model of care evidence-based practices staff empowerment and continuous professional development while spearheading the 10-year SB669 standby perinatal pilot project.

Compensation
Compensation Philosophy:
- We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
- Five (5) years hospital OB nursing; three (3) years clinical leadership; three (3) five (5) years perinatal outpatient/family medicine
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Provide visible nursing leadership for emergent and physiologic obstetric care across ED OR and outpatient settings.
- Serve as principal liaison to perioperative respiratory emergency and midwifery teams; co-chair the OB Committee under the Chief of Perinatal Services.
- Develop and oversee integrated protocols simulation drills competency programs and emergent transport plans adhering to ACOG AABC BRN and TNCC standards.
- Manage staffing scheduling budgets and financial variance for ABC RHC and SPU operations.
- Track and report CDPH-required pilot data; ensure regulatory compliance and quality benchmarks.
- Participate in 24/7 call schedule and hands-on clinical support (triage NSTs newborn management surgical assist if RNFA-qualified).

Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm Monday through Friday and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years.
