Marketing Specialist - TUMO Bilbao-Bizkaia Spain
ABOUT US:
The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free educational program that empowers teenagers aged 12 to 18 to take charge of their own learning paths allowing them to expand their knowledge in technology and creativity regardless of their socioeconomic background. Founded in Yerevan Armenia in 2011 TUMO is now present in 10 countries including France and Germany and soon in Japan the Netherlands and the United States.
TUMO is launching its first center in Spain! TUMO Bilbao-Bizkaia is currently being implemented by Shaken Not Stirred the same team that successfully established TUMO in Portugal in three locations Lisbon Coimbra and Porto creating a growing network of creative learning centers across the country. Each center has the capacity to welcome up to 1500 students.
Students combine TUMOs learning objectives Robotics Photography Game Development Graphic Design Filmmaking Programming Music and Animation to create personalized learning plans that they continuously adapt according to their progress and evolving interests. Soft skills such as teamwork initiative empathy and effective communication are integrated into the program alongside subject knowledge and technical skills.
There are three learning methods at TUMO: Self-Learning Workshops and Learning Labs. These take place in person at TUMO centers under the guidance of our pedagogical and mentoring teams with access to our digital platform and all the necessary hardware and software.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in shaping how TUMO connects with its community online driving visibility engagement and growth through digital platforms. This role plays an essential part in promoting TUMOs programs engaging with schools and enhancing the visibility of the center through creative content and events. Were looking for someone passionate about digital communication creative storytelling and the challenge of reaching diverse audiences through innovative digital strategies!
The main responsibilities include:
- Digital Strategy & Campaigns: Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social media email SEO/SEM) ensuring alignment with TUMOs goals and audience profiles.
- Content Creation: Produce graphic and audiovisual content for digital platforms including the website and social media as well as for physical formats ensuring TUMOs communication is visually appealing and aligned with its mission;
- Social Media Management: Manage content calendars publish posts and interact with audiences on platforms such as Instagram Facebook LinkedIn and TikTok to grow community engagement.
- Website & SEO Optimization: Maintain and update the website with fresh content improve SEO performance and ensure a user-friendly digital experience
- Event collaboration: Support the planning and execution of local events that promote TUMO and its mission such as school visits ensuring they are effectively communicated and visually compelling.
- Performance monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of social media campaigns identifying trends and opportunities to enhance engagement and reach.
- Creative Production: Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos of center activities and student projects for digital storytelling and promotional purposes.
- Team Collaboration: Support daily communication needs of the center and contribute ideas for improving TUMOs digital footprint and outreach.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Educational Background: Marketing Design Multimedia or a related field;
- Digital Communication Experience: 3 years of experience in digital communication including social media management and content production;
- Software Skills: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator Photoshop and Premiere with a willingness to improve. Any exposure to After Effects or similar motion graphics software is a bonus;
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English;
- Multimedia Content Editing: Competence in editing multimedia content including text images and videos;
- Visual Aesthetics: A keen aesthetic sense and the ability to communicate this through visual design;
- Marketing Insight: Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and a desire to expand knowledge of tools and platforms like social media email marketing and analytics;
- Social Media Management: Understanding of social media platforms and a strong interest in learning how to manage accounts with a focus on improving engagement and growing audience reach;
- Personal Traits: A dynamic and proactive personality with a strong sense of responsibility self-motivation and commitment to the project.
- Mandatory fluency in English Castilian and Basque (both Spanish languages)
