Job Summary

FIBER CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

1. Project Planning & Management

Work with Engineering team and Executive Leadership Team to coordinate align construction schedules and timelines.
Coordinate with internal Engineering and Network teams as well as external design and engineering to manage multiple projects concurrently teams.
Define milestones impediments and resource needs and navigate delivery of projects on time.
Monitor and control budgets in conjunction with CFO and CAO to ensure cost-effective execution.

2. Materials & Resource Management

Forecast material needs and work with CFO and CAO as well as logistics and warehouse team for all material procurement needs.
Oversee the usage and control of construction material inventory tools and equipment.
Ensure proper documentation for material usage in eLations Reach and/or other applicable internal systems.

3. Permitting & Regulatory Compliance

Coordinate with Engineering team to ensure that all permits and rights-of-way are secured in advance for all municipalities utilities and agencies.
Ensure all construction complies with federal state and local regulations as well as NESA codes.
Manage relationships with inspectors and permitting agencies.

3. Field Supervision & Oversight

Recommend and manage subcontractors and vendors.
Oversee internal and external field crews and subcontractors during underground and aerial fiber installation.
Conduct field visits and oversee a quality control function to ensure quality and safety compliance.
Monitor progress and resolve any issues or delays in real-time.
Ensure adherence to engineering specifications local codes and construction standards.
Maintain the integrity of the company brand in all field operations and interactions with communities in the project areas.

4. Quality Control & Safety

Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
Perform quality checks throughout the construction lifecycle.
Document and address deficiencies or non-conformances and communicate to Executive Leadership Team.

5. Stakeholder Communication

Serve as point of contact between construction crews engineering teams and upper management.
Provide regular updates reports and as-builts.
Communicate effectively with property owners utility providers and municipal representatives.
