Duration: Long-Term Contract (12 Months Possible Extension)
Shift: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
Travel: Up to 25% (Domestic to support training centers/events)
Position Overview
Seeking an instructor to design and deliver training programs for John Deeres dealers employees and customers. The role focuses on Ag & Turf product systems equipment technologies and professional skills development. The instructor will lead classroom lab field and virtual sessions to enhance dealership and technician proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom lab in-field and virtual training for dealers company staff and customers.
- Adapt and develop content training materials and exercises specific to audience needs.
- Manage classroom/lab setup execution and teardown for each training session.
- Evaluate course effectiveness through feedback and Net Promoter Score data.
- Research topics and update training content based on product and technology changes.
- Maintain training documentation instructor guides and lab simulations.
- Coordinate with vendor trainers and field teams to align on high-priority training needs.
- Perform basic operation of farm machinery and forklifts for training setup (certification provided post-hire).
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Agriculture equipment and precision technology.
- 1 years of experience in training/instruction curriculum development or technical education.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to grasp and explain complex mechanical/electronic systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office Service Advisor 5 and CCMS or equivalent tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years in Field Service Factory Engineering or Dealer Management roles.
- 3 years as Field Service Technician or Agronomist.
- Experience developing and delivering adult learning programs.
- Familiarity with dealer/distribution networks and customer-facing operations.
Education
Bachelors degree in Agriculture Agribusiness Ag Education Communication or Education-related field or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
- Classes are typically 2 days long with 2 sessions per week.
- Students include technicians from dealerships nationwide.
- Role includes hands-on equipment work and technical troubleshooting demonstrations.
