Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Salary:$23-$26/hr(Can be negotiated depending on experience)
Food manufacturing experience is a must have
Summary:
The Quality Control Supervisor will organize and coordinate activities related to the implementation of quality and food safety programs and standards in a USDA food-manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Food Science or related field

SQF Practitioner Certificate preferred
-
Minimum 3 years of experience managing Quality and Food Safety Operations in a USDA food manufacturing facility
-
Strong organizational written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and implement SOPs related to Food Quality and Food Safety
-
Assist with audits (USDA FDA Health Department Virginia Dept. of Agriculture etc.)
-
Oversee pre-requisite programs (maintenance supplier approval pest control sanitation etc.)
-
Monitor plant compliance with regulatory and quality standards
-
Maintain QA programs in line with SQF food safety and quality codes
-
Investigate and resolve customer complaints and internal non-conformities
-
Lead root cause analysis implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness
-
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
