Job Description
Join a leading Randstad client in Washington D.C. as a Senior Product Owner Platform & IT Operations and play a pivotal role in transforming enterprise operations from a project-based to a platform-as-a-product delivery model within the Enterprise Platforms & Enablement (EPE) portfolio.
As the strategic leader and primary voice of the customer for the Smooth Operators Team you will drive key initiatives to enhance continuous IT operations CMDB/IT Asset Management network segmentation and PCI compliance.
This role requires an experienced Agile and SAFe Product Owner who can define and execute the product vision manage competing priorities and deliver high-impact outcomes that strengthen the organizations reliability resilience and agility.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Develop articulate and communicate a clear product vision strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Champion the transition to a platform as a product operating model.
Backlog Management
- Own and manage the product backlog for a cross-functional team.
- Continuously refine backlog items to reflect current business priorities and maximize value delivery.
Prioritization & Value Delivery
- Prioritize features epics and user stories based on business value customer impact technical feasibility and measurable outcomes.
- Drive incremental delivery of product value through Agile iterations.
Requirements Definition
- Partner with Product Management Architecture and Engineering teams to translate complex business needs into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure clarity and alignment between business expectations and technical implementation.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships and facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders including business leaders IT operations and platform teams.
- Maintain consistent alignment on product goals and delivery timelines.
Agile & SAFe Leadership
- Champion Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices within the team and across the value stream.
- Actively participate in and lead Agile ceremonies ensuring team adherence to best practices.
Cross-Team Coordination
- Collaborate with other Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure cohesive end-to-end delivery across multiple value streams.
- Contribute to enterprise-level planning and dependency management.
Performance Analysis
- Define monitor and analyze key success metrics and operational KPIs.
- Leverage data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an Agile Product Owner in a large complex enterprise environment.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science Information Systems or Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification:
- Required: Active SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification OR at least 3 years of experience in a Scaled Agile product ownership/management role.
Technical Acumen:
- Strong understanding of IT Operations Configuration Management Database (CMDB) IT Asset Management networking and compliance frameworks (especially PCI).
Leadership & Communication:
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technology leading cross-functional teams through influence not authority.
- Excellent communication facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Tool Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira Software Confluence Jira Align FigJam and/or AgilityHealth.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Passion for delivering continuous incremental value through Agile execution.
