Job Summary
Position Information
Supervises and coordinates several concurrent planning projects studies and activities with responsibility for a major functional segment of the total city planning program; and performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with specialization in city planning architecture engineering economics sociology public administration or a related field.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your education in order to be given credit. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Five years of professional (post-bachelors degree non-clerical) work experience in city planning or related planning activities one of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.Such experience must demonstrate knowledge of the principles practices purposes scope and techniques of the various phases of city planning and the preparation maintenance and operation of a comprehensive plan for a large metropolitan area; trends in Federal State and local planning as they affect city planning; laws and ordinances relating to planning zoning land subdivision and redevelopment; and principles and practices of supervision.Substitution: A Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from a regionally-accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of professional work experience in city planning or related planning experience.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid drivers license as required.
