To help design our future projects we are looking for an Undergraduate Engineers to join our Derby team on a One Year Placement giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Undertake basic calculations of design work on infrastructure projects
  • Production of engineering design and details in accordance with project requirements
  • Preparation of calculations written reports and checking of drawings
  • Checking of design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
  • Visits to site as required

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you whether they are colleagues partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that youll have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of study on a bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering
  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • Be able to work in a team environment effectively
  • Have good written & verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
  • Possess good interpersonal planning documentation organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Be a clear and inquisitive thinker
  • Evidence of research and information gathering skills
